Student Eclipse Art Contest

In Partnership with the Watertown Daily Times, Sci-Tech invites Elementary and High School students to participate in a Solar Eclipse Art Contest, with prizes to be awarded in 4 age groups.

Images to be portrayed may be on any subject related to the Solar Eclipse, but need not include the actual eclipse. For example, an entry could be a picture showing insects responding to the event. The topic is free and open, and up to the student’s imagination.

Artwork may be in any medium – watercolor, acrylic, oil paint, marker, crayon, pencil, computer print, etc. Submissions must be at least 8-1/2 x 11 inches, but no larger than 18 x 24 inches. Please note, however, that Artificial Intelligence engines (AI chatbots) may not be used. Art must be the student’s creation.

A first prize and an honorable mention will be awarded in each group: grade 9-12; 5-8; 3-4, and K-2. Each winner will receive a Staples gift card, and the winners will be displayed at the Flower Memorial Library.

Entries are due by Friday April 19, and should be sent or hand-delivered to:
